Our approach to ENT diagnosis

At HealthHub, you will meet with an ENT specialist, then receive advanced testing to determine your specific health problem and the appropriate treatment. Whether the problem is an earache, sinus problem or snoring, you will benefit from our expertise in diagnosis and advanced treatment technology.

• Ears – Using high magnification via a microscope, and powerful suction, we can treat most ear problems, from foreign bodies (usually children), to stuck cotton buds and ear wax. Hearing tests can be arranged at our hearing clinic as well as advice on cutting edge hearing technology and hearing protection. High-definition MRI scanning also available at a reasonable price from Vista diagnostics in Waterloo.

• Nose – We’ll use flexible video endoscopy and a CCD camera to properly assess nose disease. Along with ultra-high-definition monitors, this gives us a very accurate way of diagnosing problems such as rhinitis, polyps, septal deviation, adenoids, etc. Nosebleeds are treated using Silver Nitrate cautery.

• Throat – Using direct video endoscopy, we will diagnose and treat benign and malignant tumours, tonsil problems, throat clearing, lump in throat sensation, and voice disturbance.

• Sleep Issues - We are very interested in treating snoring and sleep apnoea patients, since we have close link up with experts in Sleep (London Sleep Centre) and Respiratory Medicine (Mike Polkey) who help us treat these problems.

• ENT Emergencies – All ENT emergencies are covered; we can drain neck abscesses, throat abscesses (quinsy), diagnose and treat bad sore throats, earache, acute sinusitis, nosebleeds, fractured noses, fishbones, otitis externa, etc. Minor injuries like lacerations, splinters and foreign bodies in the skin, and steristrips are also treated.
